Our Design & Build Process
Initial Inquiry

Upon receiving your initial inquiry, Northern Oak will evaluate your project and respond to your call or email within 3 business days. We place a strong emphasis on ensuring a good fit with our clients. However, due to the high volume of requests we receive, we regret that we can not fulfill every inquiry.
Site Visit and Meeting

Once we have determined that we are a good fit for your landscaping project, we will schedule a site visit and meeting to discuss your specific goals, needs and budget. This is an essential step in the design process, as it allows us to gain deeper understanding of your vision for the space and how we can best bring it to life.
At this time we calculate the cost of design.

Design
After gaining a thorough understanding of your needs and preferences, we will create a detailed design plan that includes 2D and/or 3D drawings of your outdoor space. These drawings will provide a visual representation of the proposed design, including features such as hardscaping, softscaping, lighting, and water features. The 3D drawings will allow you to see your outdoor space in a realistic, three-dimensional format, giving you a clear idea of what your space will look like once the project is complete.

We also provide detail drawings and blueprints to ensure the design is executed precisely and accurately. This includes grading and drainage plans, planting plans, and other necessary drawings required for permitting (pools, cabanas etc.).

Throughout the design process our team of experienced professionals will work closely with you to ensure that your vision is brought to life. We will make any necessary revisions to the design based on your feedback, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.

Pre- Construction/ Material Selection
Once you decide to proceed with the estimate and both parties have signed the construction contract, we will provide you with a start date. We will also begin to organize materials so that they are ordered and readily available for the agreed upon start date.
Construction

Sit back and relax as you see your design come to life. We will inform you if anything comes up as we are going. We will make sure to communicate with you regularly and clearly if anything comes up during the construction phase. We also make sure to leave the job site as tidy as possible at the end of each day.
